Are Your Houseplants Toxic To Your Cat?

Several years ago I was given a beautiful houseplant. I believe it was an Easter Lily. One day
I noticed that my calico " Puppy " was nibbling on the plant. At first, I was a little upset that Puppy had decided to do a little pruning. My next thought was... I hope she doesn't get sick from chewing on the plant leaves. Off to the Internet I went searching for information about plants and cats. I was amazed at what I discovered. Many plants of the lily variety are toxic to cats! Not only lilies but quite a few of the more common houseplants have varying levels of toxicity to felines. The list is quite long so I have provided a link to a page on the ASPCA website. Please do yourself and your cat a favor and make sure that your home is a safe environment.
